Red? That's not what I would call Red!
Most notably, Red Water Beads appear a pinkish-red before being expanded and a Salmon colour when expanded. Red is one of the hardest colours to accurately reproduce and we were faced with a decision when we added them to our range.
Our new Rose Red has been developed as a step closer to red, though more on the deep pink side, while still meeting our strict quality standards.
We had 3 Choices:
(1) a bright vivid true red which would stain anything it came into contact with, including furniture and skin.
(2) a true red colour made using dyes that contain chemicals known to harm humans and waterways.
(3) a colour that is 100% non-toxic, safe and completely colourfast, but isn't really a true red.
To maintain our strict safety and environmental standards, we chose option number 3.
Although we could legally import options 1 and 2 if a customer wanted them, we have made the decision that we will not under any circumstances import true red water beads into Australia while they fail to comply with our business standards.
We value our clients and our business reputation so therefore we won't import a product which doesn't meet the expectations of our customers or prospective customers on the grounds of safety and satisfaction.
When purchasing "Red" water beads from our site, please understand that the colour won't be what most people would consider a true red, but in comparison with the other water bead colours, it is red. You can rest assured that our products will meet your expectations on quality and safety.
If you see Red Water Beads elsewhere please approach with caution, as they may have an unsuitable level of toxicity or may cause permanent staining.
